January 2015. Opening on the scene of a car accident in the country lanes of Sussex. Ali and Sam are unconscious, trapped inside the vehicle. Amongst the carnage, it’s clear something invisible, almost cosmic resides between them. We flashback to the beginning of their story, travelling through their years of friendship, following how these strangers became soulmates.
Their journey starts in 2010, at a London freshers house party. Two girls, on the precipice of adulthood, meet for the first time. Over the years, throughout the chaos of life, the only constant is each other. With each passing year they grow, at times life pulls them apart but Ali and Sam always find their way back to each other.
Fragmented throughout their journey, we flicker between time, with the echoes of the future crash, continuously seeping into memories of their past. Only one of them survives, who that is, revealed only in the final scene.
This film explores how their friendship is the greatest love story of their lives. And that even after death, their love will forever remain.
